GreenTown: The Future of Community | Creating Healthy, Sustainable Communities

GreenTown Will County

GreenTown Will County 2018

GreenTown Will County is about inspiration, aspiration and perspiration. By bringing together the public and private sectors from around the region, GreenTown cuts across boundaries, takes action and creates healthy sustainable communities – and will help to make a more vibrant Will County.

On Friday, October 26, 2018, GreenTown is coming to Will County at the Joliet Junior College Renaissance Center in downtown Joliet!

The full-day event – produced by Seven Generations Ahead and a5 Branding & Digital in collaboration with Will County Government, the City of Joliet, the South Metropolitan Higher Education Consortium and other community organization partners – will feature engaging speakers, networking and action on topics including renewable energy, energy efficiency, transportation, sustainable agriculture and local food, community health, and water.

The event will also feature a Mayor’s Breakfast for elected officials across the region, an Idea Factory Challenge including some of the best and brightest new project innovations in sustainability, and the rollout of the new Will County Regional Sustainability Network.

Join us to launch the Will County Regional Sustainability Network! The network was organized to connect people, communities and resources to make lasting improvements to Will County’s economy, ecology and social equity.
