GreenTown Elgin is the eighth installment of GreenTown. Held on April 28 at The Centre in downtown Elgin, a keynote address was provided by Dr. Richard Jackson, the former head of the National Center for Environmental Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In addition to Jackson’s keynote, GreenTown's focus is on Elgin's progress and future, and ways communities around the Chicago metro area are "going green" and working to create healthy, sustainable communities.
