2008 Conference

In its second successful year, GreenTown was held at the historic Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois on October 2, 2008. Key speakers included Terry Tamminen, former Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency and author of Lives Per Gallon: The True Cost of our Oil Addiction, and Dean Kubani, manager of the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability. More than 300 people attended the event and left energized, educated and better connected.

2007 Conference

The Inaugural conference was held September 19, 2007, at Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple in Oak Park, Illinois. Over 300 people gathered to hear from innovative speakers, including William McDonough, architect and author of Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things and Sadhu Johnston, Chief Environmental Officer with the City of Chicago. The event was a success, receiving accolades from its attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and speakers.
